Reinventing the Newsroom
Pitney Bowes is the number one supplier of franking machines in the world and are leading providers of customer communications. Having initially maintained and grown their organic positions within Google, we were in a fortunate position. We designed and developed their new media centre to house their press articles, press releases, events and case studies.
We incorporated a historical archiving system and a content submission system to enable public relation agencies to submit content. The custom-built online editor meant press from across the company could contribute content through a zero-coding and template practice, meaning there was no need for them to touch the code.
With a reputation similar to that of Pitney Bowes, it is important to continually maintain a professional image, which is why we sustained this through proficient design.
Our design process takes careful planning, researching and communication from all the experts in our team to ensure the results are the best they can be.
Designing a content submission solution that allowed PR agencies and other partners to contribute content through the site with ease was a bit of a challenge. The development gave the flexibility of utilising different templates to keep the content fresh and keep the Newsroom engaging.
Content archiving was another key requirement, keeping content from across departments in an organised and searchable format. However, linking to new content meant content would always be relevant and maintain interest.
Gaining valuable insights into audience engagement was a key positive point through the use of the i3CMS platform. Realtime analytics allowed admins to view exactly what items are being engaged with and how these affect the brand and bottom line.

Since the creation of this Press Room, Pitney Bowes asked that we also deliver international versions for France and Germany, a challenge that we readily accepted.
